Thanksgiving Menu
DH cooks the entire Thanksgiving meal himself. Every year. Except for the cranberry sauce, which I do since he prefers the jelly stuff from the can and I like the homemade kind.
I love that he does it all himself! And believe me, I’ve tried to help, but get shoo’ed out of the kitchen quickly. It doesn’t bother me though, because even though I love to cook, I love to entertain better! And it leaves me free to make sure everyone is happy and has a drink in hand.
Our guests are coming over early in the day and we’ll eat later in the evening, so we’ll have an all-day nosh-fest
. Our friends are bringing beer and wine, a couple appetizers, the bread and all of the pies, so we don’t have to worry about anything but the main course.
DH even drew up a google doc for the menu and sent it around to everyone to add to and comment on. I’m just cutting and pasting most of it from there. When I say that he LOVES Thanksgiving, it is seriously no joke! He has been obsessing about it for weeks
.

That sounds amazing! And it’s so cool that your DH does just about all of it by himself. Mine cooks dinner during the week and helps with breakfast on the weekends and I’m very grateful for that. We will have Turkey Day at our house next year and I plan on doing everything myself…I love making a big meal like that. It stresses me out because there’s so much involved but when I get to sit down and eat and I see everyone else stuffing themselves silly, it’s all worth it. Have a great holiday and enjoy all that food…eat some for me!
WHOA, that’s a heck of a menu. Can I come??? It all sounds amazing, I hope you and your guests have a fantastic time!
Looks wonderful! Have a great time!
Yum yum! I think I’m eating with you guys
Yum! What time should I be over?
You are sure lucky to have a man who loves to cook.

Sounds delicious! That’s awesome he wants to cook it all himself. I’d sit back and enjoy that too! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Wow! Your menu puts mine to shame! Glad that your husband enjoys this and that you get to do the entertaining. Happy Thanksgiving!
When you said he did it all himself, I was picturing an abiding love for mashed potatoes and gravy. This is something else altogether. Seriously – my dh could probably not come up with a *definition* for a lot of the items on that menu! Anyway, it sounds fantastic. Enjoy it!
Whoa that is one amazing menu! Kudos to your husband!
Happy Anniversary!
That sounds fantastic! I make my own cranberry sauce, too…I never thought I liked cranberry sauce until I made my own. Yum!
Hope you had a great time!
